This app is not only hard for the average person to navigate, but also keeps giving you towns. You don’t want states you don’t want it doesn’t do anything you wanted to do and I can’t even get a hold of them to explain to me how to work it properly because there’s no way to reach anybody on this thing and I can’t type in the town. ‘ cause it doesn’t let me I don’t know what’s going on with But they oughta get themselves together and stop techies doing it and have regular people test it for him before they even put it out there

Sort by button doesn’t work

Can’t sort your findings. Half of the “studios” are just rooms for rent which has its very own filter. That tells me there’s no standards. This is the result of one company owning almost all of the rental search apps.

Useless app, can't open the messages. No way to communicate with Landlords. Total waste of time.

Why can’t these guys fix this app so you can sort the items you’re looking through.

I used this app years ago and you used to be able to get a push notification when a new listing came up. That was the main benefit. Now I don’t get push notifications even though it’s enabled in the app and on my phone. I think it has something to do with the latest update. I hope they fix it

Buttons don't work, no way of signing in without causing app to crash. All around a bad app. The service itself is fine via a browser but the app simply doesn't work.

Lately, when I go to click a push notification for a property I’m interested in, it just opens the app and doesn’t take me directly to the listing like it used to. Same goes for emails I get; when I click on a property I’m interested in, it just takes me to the last screen I was on in HotPads and doesn’t open the listing. It’s very frustrating to then try to filter through the app myself to find the property, especially considering that I am being notified for properties with my specifically filtered criteria. Makes the app almost unusable and I don’t even click the notifications anymore. Tried deleting and redownloading and that did not fix the problem. I was enjoying the app before that!

I'm looking for a house to rent. This app is Easy to use,has great filters,the Landlord or realtors really do contact you back with any questions you might have!!! I TRULY LOVE ❤️ IT... i'm moving to Nevada and I get alerts when a house is up for viewing. Get this app ...it will not let you down!!!! Toni🐸

I’m having an issue for when I send a link and they click on it and it is not sending them to listing. Even when I get notifications, it does not take me to the listing. Please fix this bug

Unable to set an address for commute times. Also unable to login on iPad through email confirmation. Clicking the link in the email just makes the app hang.

I have moved probably 7 times using HotPads and love this app but the last 2 weeks when I save a house and try to go back and look at the house it doesn’t recognize the listing so I asked my daughter to see if the house was available on their HotPads app it’s still available. So I am going try to delete and re add and see if that works.

Doesn’t let me change the commute destination. Really annoying.

You will never be able to stop Hotpads from emailing you even if you unsubscribe. You cannot delete the app. There is no customer service. I’m having to use legal action to remove my personal information. Consider using another service.

Love this app.. very user friendly.. UNLESS YOU HAVE PETS. There is no place to add Cat, dog, or pet friendly as a search parameter. So you waste a lot of time looking at places that do not accept your furry companion.

Okay so anytime I go hunting for a home this is my go to site to use There is ALWAYS a property almost exactly of what I am looking for each time It may take a little time to filter out and sort through But 9/10 times I have always found what I am looking for ‼️

Horrible app! Message center don’t work! Realtors never respond!

Far too many landlords listing “Parking - Off street”, when they are truly offering street parking only. It’s deceiving and extremely frustrating. This site should only provide two options for the landlords to choose, “Street Parking” and “Parking Available”, so it’s harder to lie in their descriptions. Also, the gallery view button doesn’t even work on any listing. Some listings appear to only have 1 photo, only to find there are additional photos, it just doesn’t show them to me. WTH?

I’m unable to see the responses on my iPhone thru the app. I have to get on my desktop to see any responses. That’s not very convenient.

The app doesn’t seem to remember my password. Then after I reset it and it confirms my new password, it asks me again what the original password is to make that change. If I knew, I wouldn’t have to reset it, so around and around we go… argh! Other than that, it’s great! I really love the filters on this one and different icons for the type of rental it is.

Finding a home feels easier with this and helpful to show responsiveness of landlords and renters.

Not sure what the problem is but the app is completely unusable. Every 3-5 seconds I have to hold a button for about 1 second to prove I’m not a bot so it makes using the app impossible. Never did this in the past but it’s been a few months since I’ve tried using it.

I see the house I wanted and I loved it.

Ive been signaled out several times via this app!! They make sure that we dont get to get the housing we are looking for. Ive wasted several hours on this app just to be racially profiled either in the app and or at the time im suppose to see a rental

Rental scammers are operating through HotPads with verified accounts. It’s absolutely unacceptable that a “trust worthy” platform would allow and legitimize fraudulent rental listings with some of these scammers having verified accounts for the last 5 years. Putting the customers livelihood at risk threatening their personal information and finances. I have personally spoken to several people who need to get in contact with social security because they sent applications with all their information to a fraudulent account. Completely unacceptable.

How can I make changes to my Listing like changing the price on the property?

No one ever responds after asking the same questions. Not sure if it’s discrimination or they just don’t care after the initial response. Wont recommend to anyone

Glitchy

Every-time I go to open the app it crashes. I even deleted the app and redownloaded the app and the same thing keeps happening.

Messenger does not work on newest version. Have to login into web browser to see messages.

Normally a no-fuss app, I’ve rented a few places with the help of HotPads. Lately the Street View for me shows the same location, a remote road surrounded by shrubs. Please fix and thank you!

Why does each “new match” have a 💯emoji?

Site is full of listings that owners report having taken off the market months ago or have other errors. Once you subscribe, they will never stop emailing you. I have unsubscribed nearly a dozen times and still get their emails several months later. Other much more reliable sites and apps out their. Avoid these guys like the clap.

Worst app ever

THIS APP IS NO GOOD! I ALMOST GOT SCAMMED BY A MAN NAMED WILLIAM COLE JR (Probably not his real name) HE ACTED LIKE HE WAS A LEGITIMATE LANDLORD. I have a rental program that pays for EVERYTHING and he tried to get money from me to so call secure the unit, I reported him immediately. The scammers are using HOT PADS, APARTMENTS.COM, AFFORDABLE HOUSING.COM AND OTHER APT APPS AS A WAY TO SCAM PEOPLE OUT PF THEIR MONEY. DO NOT USE HOTPADS OR ANY APT APPS.

The app was cool until everytime I would try to go to message center it never loaded the messages which caused me to just delete the app & try another. The message center is the main area of the app it’s where I communicate with the people to view the homes. So the app is pretty much pointless

You will never be able to access your messages tab and Support doesn’t exist for this app so there is no one you can report this to. Secondly, I’ve messaged almost one hundred of listings and not a single person has gotten back to me. I’ve left phone number and no one on here gets back to you. Most of the listings are fake and only want you to apply to charge you a deposit fee.

Still they are requesting 2 to 3 times rent regardless of the fact the state says they can ask that anymore. This is getting ridiculous

This is app is great. I’ve actually found places on here to rent. Just recently I noticed I’m not allowed to “street view” properties. Then there’s a message that tells me” there’s nothing for me to see”…. Why would I rent an apartment, buy a home w.e. And just focus on what it looks like in the inside… i hope this is just temporary

I am looking everyday and everywhere for housing and this app refuses to load and site is down. I’ve got messages to respond to and it’s time sensitive.

This is a good app for apartment searching, but some of the realtors once they get in touch with you and you will tell them that you have a program and that you are temporarily disabled; they will never reply back, some of them are even rude. Sometimes some people forget that today you can be on top of the economy pyramid, like I was in the past and suddenly they can become sick do to something. In my case I’m sick do to the Damm Moderna vaccine after effects…
